‘Junkanoo has begun!’

We are getting ready to go on holiday ! Junkanoo is celebrated in the Bahamas and Jamaica, just after Christmas. It’s a party time because everyone is on holiday. Here are some photos of Room 5 and ECE Red students practising the song.

We’ve got a bell, we’ve got a drum
Junkanoo has begun IMG_7626
Feel that goom-bay beat, giving life to your dancing feet
Ev’rybody’s on holiday
We’ll dance the night away
Now you know it’s Junkanoo
Come on, let’s go!

See the bright star in the sky, Time to sing-a-Noel
Angels chanting from on high
Time to sing-a-Noel
Now, see the bright star in the sky
Time to sing-a-Noel
Angels chanting from on high
Time to sing-a-Noel

Now sing a- Noel, Time to sing-a-Noel, Sing-a-Noel, Time to sing-a-Noel
