The next Community Song will be massive! We will be taking part in a nationwide community singing event called Music: Count Us In. The song, Gold, was written by students who won a songwriting contest. They worked with John Foreman and Marcia Hines to create the song in just one day. Childhood memories…
Today in gLee Club, we performed songs which we enjoyed when we were children. Chris rocked his piano performance of “I’m a Believer”!
Final Concert Info
Dear Students and Parents/Carers
Today we went to Crown Theatre for our final rehearsal – it was exciting and went very well. Tonight, we will meet at meeting point No. 11.
The Concert
The performance starts at 7pm. We will be required to be in the foyer at 6.15pm to check the student lists and hand them in to the security people at the Theatre. We will assemble under the number 11 in the foyer.
Parents please note
• When you bring your child to Mrs Ruscoe, Ms Longman or Miss Pack at 6.15pm, please then move away from the student area. It will be quite congested and we need students to stay together with the teachers.
• Students are allowed water only, no food and no electronic devices.
• Parents/Carers are not allowed up to the top level at any time during the concert, including during the interval. Please do not ask Security or teachers if you can see or remove your child. Crown takes the safety and well-being of every child seriously and will have security staff in place for the top level.
• Students will be brought down to the foyer after the whole concert has finished. Please talk to the teacher before taking your child so that their name can be marked off the list.
We are so excited that the performance is getting closer! If you have any queries please email jan.ruscoe@education.wa.edu.au. More information is also available at www.wagsms.org.au.
