Today was Mr Veldman’s last day at Glengarry. He has been a great friend and caring, guiding presence in our school. His passion for music and lyrics with great meaning is one of the things we really loved, and we will miss it.
We enjoyed singing with Will at gLee Club for one last time this morning.
Our gLee Club has started and the Yr 6 singers have had a great time preparing their songs.
Last week the theme was ‘Pitch Perfect/Pentatonix’ – we even had the lights off with a torch for ‘Flashlight’!
Today in gLee Club, we performed songs which we enjoyed when we were children. Chris rocked his piano performance of “I’m a Believer”!

The music room was filled with more ‘character’ than usual last week. We all ended up dancing an Irish jig when Michael (the hobbit) performed The Cat and the Moon from Lord of the Rings.
The amazing Year 6s in Rm 10 have done it again! They used the skills acquired in last term’s Dance lessons to create a Michael Jackson dance medley. Decked out in smart vests and sparkly hats, these rockers had a fantastic time and entertained the whole school. To add to their display of musical talent, Rm 10 played instruments to accompany the Community Song.

Our theme of ‘The Future’ was a hit! We had Tomorrow from Annie, Dear Future Husband and Hall of Fame. We couldn’t resist taking a selfie!
